I had a hectic day today...Was karakkam (rather alachil) in the city with Nibin to find an accomodation for him. Believe me friends this is hard work!
He had told me last week to look into places to stay...
First I had gone to YMCA. But they take in students alone and if working professionals are coming then its 215 per day! (Boys and Girls! El Mariachi is a professional starting tomoro!)
That excludes food...So I started enquiring about alternatives...
Asked a couple of friends in the technical communication class and they suggested a couple of places...The price range was from 800 to upwards per month.
But 800 rooms are pretty bad according to them...So I went to the Corporation Rest House in Ulloor and found they had rooms from 75 per day onwards...Pretty satisfactory arrangements...

I had told these to others as well. Jackie knew a lady who provided paying guest accomodation to boys and it was a steal when I heard about it.
Food and accomodation cost 2200 and the place was said to be good...
So I stopped my searches and waited for Nibin to come today.

When he came I realised that the paying guest thingie did not have single rooms...only 2 and 3 per room. Nibin specifically wanted single rooms...So we started out around 12.
First we went to Thampanoor and looked in some lodges. Nibin said Sanjith of BT had stayed in some place and was pretty good...
We asked a couple of ammavans who were drunk and they started arguing about its whereabouts! We escaped from there and found the lodge...
It was pretty decent but only one issue...the good rooms were occupied and will clear only after a month...the room on the outside was...well bad!

Next stop was food! A hearty meal!

Then we boarded bus to Keshavadasapuram to a lodge called Hubara...A friend of Jackie was living there for past 4 years...Things looked good there...only one problem!
No vacancy!
Met 3 guys from IBS there...training with Sulu

Then we strolled around lodges in Pattom and finally paid a visit to Paying guest Achayathis home...It was near GG Hospital...The rooms were good...but three in a room meant there was no space even for walking...next we landed near medical college and discovered almost all lodges had only double rooms...
Then we found a small place giving rooms for monthly rent...An old place and a small one...but I sort of liked it :D
But we have to see who lives in that lodge...Some bad lodges with history of 'ladies' are there...
Again to lodges and finally to Corporation rest house...There rooms were pretty good...

We sat on an AKG prathima for sometime to ponder over what to do...Finally he decided to go to Rest house...
He had some shopping to do and we went to Statue...
Nibin got himself a new pair of shoes and a belt to boot...

Next stop was home and we were thoroughly exhausted...
At home we watched V for Vendetta (A really nice movie...highly recommended!)

It got over after 7 and we rushed to get an auto. Being sunday it was hard to get an auto and after a long wait we found one...the driver was bladed with his fare...
Anyhow, reached there and climbed the stairs( his room is in the 4th floor!)

Then I climbed back the bus to get to home...tired...really tired...
