Go Sourav....????????

At last...sourav ganguly back among men in blue!!! well,I was never a ganguly fan!! not
earlier,not now!! But I dont know y my heart goes with him??? mayb it is because he is the
best captian I have seen so far 4 this Indian team.... Dravid still needs 2 prove his role
as captian!! Sourav has proved it....In australia,in pakisthan and in England!!! Or mayb it
is because he is the best batsman in off side...or mayb the way he hits sixes off a spin
bowler over long on... and over the stands...into the space!!!! I was a fan of his sixes....


Those who know me knows of my Madness for this game!!! It has been my passion 4 long time... And, in all these times, I has never seen a cricketer as aggresive as sourav... He may b out
of form,but he always stands with the team!! People may say he is not a gentleman but now a
days,aggresion is needed(Remember Sourav after the win in Natwest final??)


But now a days,u cant just b in team just because of past performance only!! Sourav was a
failure in both forms of game!!! so,it was a needed move 2 remove him from power!!! But,was
this move political?? He was sacked right after Pawar came into power...and,now,is back in
the team right after sourav blamed Dalmia.... well, luks lik sourav has learned the bitter
truth!! His recent show in English county has been pathetic,2 say the least....

Well,what I am going 2 do now is to compare dada with dravid...

Both of them has started their career together... In 1996,against england,at Lords. Though
dada has played earlier,against pakisthan,in 1989,he was sacked later. Sourav hit a century
in debut match.. And from then,till now,he has never looked back. Dravid 2 was a hit....but
his slow batting made him in and out of ODI's....Meanwhile,dada was the new oppening partner
4 sachin. They were the best oppeners 4 india 4 a long long time. Still holds the oppening
wicket stand of 251 runs....thts a record!!!!Both were aggresive,and consistent... Dada is
still,the player with second most No. of centuries in ODI,along with 10,000+ runs!!
Considering tht he was out of form 4 almost a year and half,this record is phenominal ..
Besides,it was his found,the young guns,Yuvi and Kaif..and,my favourate... Veeru..

Dravid,on the other hand,was struggling in ODI...He was in and out of
the team...but frm 1996 till 2006,he was consistent through out the Test matches!! The Match
fixing scandal saw the oldies go out and saw arrival of Sourav as captian...with John Wright
as new coach...Team india was looking good!! Dravid donned the gloves of India 2 provide
flexiblity... And it worked,4 some time.... During tht period,he became 1 of the most
reliable player of MIB...His WC was also terrific... And,how can any1 forget the roles he
played in Addelade,Tentbridge and in Ravalpindi??? He was the 1 person responsible 4 all
these victories!! But,as a captian, I dont rate him as good as dada,4 only 1 reason...He is
not tht aggresive as dada...He is 2 cool and calm...I guess...But it was under his captency
tht saw comming of players lik Dhoni,Sreesant and Raina.... So,as a hard core Dravid fan,I
wish him all the best 4 the comming season.... 2 tough test series waits him-The england,and
the South African series...This is his testing ground,and I hpe tht The tri color will prevail.....

As 4 Sourav Ganguly,this might afterall be the last chance 4 dada 2 b back in team!!! Best
of luk dada... One more time, hit those lofted cover drives and those slogs over long
on...one more time, for old times sake.....
